September 1-25 Fulbright Campus Committee evaluation mock interviews
September 8 Convocation
September 9 Classes begin
September 11 Deadline for October graduates to submit the Application to Graduate via Banner
September 11 Thesis and dissertation submission deadline for February graduates
September 19 Black at Brown [Graduate] Grant Deadline
September 22 Last day to add a course without a fee

October 1 Banner-based Application to Graduate open to students who expect to complete in February (Registrar's requirement)
October 6 Final submission deadline for Fulbright Fellowship at 5:00 pm
October TBA Research Mobility Fellowship applications due for Spring travel
October 6 Last day to add a course (includes late fee), change from audit to credit, or change a grade option declaration (5 pm deadline)
October 12 Indigenous Peoples' Day
October 16 Last day to change from credit to audit in a course (5 pm deadline)

November 1 Deadline for students on leave to notify the Graduate School of a desire to return in the spring and to submit materials for readmission
November 2 Fall cycle Pandemic-related Appointment Extension applications due
November 10 Registration for Spring classes for continuing students
November 23 Spring term bills generated (see Student Accounts and Billing)
November 25-29 Thanksgiving recess
November 30 Application deadline for the Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fund Fellowship

December 1 Application deadline for Brown Executive Scholars Training (BEST) Program

January 8 Deadline for February graduates to submit the Application to Graduate via Banner
January 8 Thesis and dissertation submission deadline for February graduates
January 11 Banner-based Application to Graduate open to students who expect to complete in May (Registrar's requirement)

February 9 Last day to add a course without a fee

March 1 Nominations due for Faculty Mentoring and Advising Award
March TBA Deadline for DEP applications (submit through UFunds) for Humanities & Social Science students who will be beyond the sixth year (can also be submitted after this date to be reviewed on a rolling basis)
