My time at Brown has been excellent. I've had the privilege of meeting talented peers and amazing teachers. I feel that Brown does its best to help us design our own education by giving us a lot of free rein. As an international student, I also owe many thanks to the staff members at Brown, who have been very helpful in making my transition smooth and enjoyable. Providence is a beautiful little city, very different from its Chinese counterparts. I love the style of architecture and the rhythm of life here.
I chose the master's program in Data Science because I want to do work that has prompt and powerful applications in the real world. I began handling large data sets in my junior year, and I've been fascinated ever since by how much information they can convey.
After graduation, I hope to do something related to social sciences with my graduate education. To me, human activity has always been fascinating and informative. In a way, I feel that it helps us be more introspective regarding our own behavior.
