Master’s Student Focus: Joshua Daniel, Biomedical Engineering

Joshua is a fifth-year master’s student from St. Lucia who completed his undergraduate degree at Brown in Biomedical Engineering.

Joshua DanielI’ve enjoyed how focused my graduate year has been on pursuits and activities that will prepare me for an engineering and design career. The opportunity to complete independent thesis work is the primary reason I chose to pursue a master’s degree. I look forward to writing and defending a thesis and prototype that will set the foundation for further impactful studies. Kudos to professor of engineering, Joseph Crisco, for being an excellent advisor in this regard.

After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in medical device design. I’d also love to be a founder of and lead a firm that focuses on the design and implementation of medical technology, particularly geared towards neglected diseases and underserved populations globally.
