Graduate School

Master's Student Profile: Wenbo Sun, Engineering

Wenbo is from Shanghai, China, and received his Bachelor of Science in theoretical and applied mechanics at the University of Science and Technology of China.

SunThe beginning of my time at Brown has been fantastic. I took five courses last year: one mathematics, two solid mechanics and two robotics. These courses practiced both of my theoretical and practical abilities. I also joined the Applied Mechanics Lab and have had the opportunity to conduct research under Assistant Professor of Engineering, Haneesh Kesari. My first year at Brown gave me three things: theoretical and practical preparations for future research, clearer research direction, and a proper lifestyle for studying and living in the United States.

I did a summer internship at FANUC Robotics Co., Ltd and found I can apply my learning in industrial robotic companies after my master's study. I am interested in deeper research through a doctoral program. Thanks to my experience at Brown, I am very motivated to do more professional research on mechanics and robotics.
