The new Digital CV, which debuted this summer, provides an excellent resource for students to track their achievements as teachers, mentors, and researchers. It can also help guide conversations with advisors and mentors throughout your time as a graduate student. As a companion to this new tool, I want to remind you about our mentoring and advising resources for both students and faculty.
Also new in 2019 are expanded resources for parental support, including a new child dependent health insurance subsidy for eligible students.
Students, as you begin your studies, consider participating in one of many professional and co-curricular opportunities, such as the Brown Executive Scholars and Graduate Community Fellows programs.
Starting graduate school can be challenging, if you are experiencing difficulties for any reason or find yourself in need of assistance, please consider taking advantage of some of the many resources available to graduate students and/or reach out to one of the deans in the Graduate School. I will have mobile office hours at various locations across campus this Fall.
