Graduate Student of Color Orientation

Graduate Student of Color Orientation (GSOC) welcomes new graduate and professional students to Brown and introduces them to the support structures and resources available.

This community-building event fosters a sense of belonging through collaboration with campus partners and provides a space to discuss the experiences of graduate students of color at Brown. The orientation highlights the challenges faced by historically underrepresented groups in predominantly white academic environments and offers resources to help navigate those challenges. While open to all graduate students, the programming is primarily designed to support domestic graduate students of color.

Graduate Student of Color Orientation is not mandatory, and space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
